Synopsis:
SWIPED THE MUSICAL is a world premiere original musical operetta that is a modern day love story about the life of Polly navigating singledom in the world of online dating.
After Polly's parents split up when she was a little girl, she decided that the only way she could control her destiny was to meticulously plan out every aspect of her life, but when her boss asks her to bring her boyfriend to the company mixer she realizes the one thing that she never meticulously planned for was a relationship.
All of Polly's dreams have come true and now it was time for her to find....ahem.... love...... the one thing that it's kind of starting to look like she might have been avoiding this whole time. Can Polly's master planning and manifesting skills find her the relationship that she's set out to have?
SWIPED "APPily Ever After" is a contemporary fairytale for 21st century audience that will leave you wishing for more!

Oh, what a surreal digital world we live in today! How is it that our society’s technological advancements allow us to be more connected than ever before yet what I hear from so many people is that they feel more disconnected and alone than ever before? Though Swiped is written from a female perspective I find how we chose to tell this story speaks to the human experience. What do humans do and who do they become when they have planned their whole life and the very thing they now want isn’t going according to plan? What becomes possible when we let go of strategy and be present to life right now? To quote the great and late John Lennon, “Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.” What is love really and what happens when you go searching for it? Often it seems we have all forgotten that it is us. That it has and always will be already here, in the very place we started looking for it to begin with.
